Events

Located in the center of Old Sacramento, the Capitol City’s top tourist attraction, Steamers is the perfect location to begin or end your Gold Rush history adventure of the Golden State of California.

Start your day off with a cup of artisan coffee or tea, along with a hearty breakfast or fresh-baked pastries before heading out to visit the California State Railroad Museum, featuring immaculately restored engines and cars, along with exciting events and exhibits that bring the railroad to life.

Just up the street from us is the Sacramento History Museum, where you can explore the history and stories of the area’s first inhabitants, the pioneers who settled here during the Gold Rush, life on the farm, and more.

For a historic adventure below the streets of Sacramento, join a guide for the Old Sacramento Underground tours, and learn how Sacramento literally lifted itself up out of the floodwaters during the 1860s and 1870s!

If water is more your passion, take a stroll on the decks of the Delta King Riverboat hotel on the Sacramento River, located directly across from our café.

All of these attractions and more are just a few short blocks from our front door. And be sure to pay us another visit as your day progresses to discover our additional treasures, including delicious sandwiches and burgers, house-made soups, garden fresh salads and a wide variety of craft beers and local wines.
